The stars of the show here at Raw are our fantastic interviewers. They are the link between you and your customers, so we think it's really important for them to be as enthusiastic about research as we are. We are big fans of the human touch, and our interviewers are outstanding in their ability to engage with our projects. Not to mention the fact that they're brilliant at remembering to buy the tea bags!
At Raw, we are firm believers in seeing the potential in everyone. This is why our management team have all, at some stage in their career, been out in the field as interviewers. They understand better than anyone the likely challenges they might face on a project, and more often than not can't wait to get stuck in!
Liz has always worked in market research, the perfect career for her as she loves talking to people. She has done nearly every job that it is possible to do in a fieldwork company, from interviewing to business development to project management and would be hard pushed to find a role she hasn't enjoyed. In December 2007, Liz became managing director.
Liz's experiences have taught her that the most important thing about research is hearing the customer's voice, whether that is a consumer talking about toothpaste or one of her own clients delivering a briefing. When Liz doesn't have a phone glued to her ear, she is a music obsessive. She is never without her iPod and is always looking for new stuff to listen to - any recommendations welcomed!
Peter joined Raw Research in the spring of 2006, having previously worked as a qualitative interviewer for a global technology services firm. His skills as a quallie were quickly recognised and he went from recruitment to depth interviewing to project management in a matter of months.
Peter excels at managing high profile client panels as well as managing our own in-house UK-IT panel. The personal touch that he lends to each project ensures he delivers consistently excellent results to our clients. In his spare time Peter likes to read and write poetry, his aim is to get published (this doesn't count, Peter!) in the very near future.
Chris has been working at Raw Research for the past two years. After a year as an interviewer, Chris decided he wanted to see the world and spent six months in Thailand honing his scuba skills. Upon his return to England he found the pull to market research was so strong that he felt compelled to rejoin the Raw team as a Senior Interviewer. He was quickly promoted to Project Manager and hasn't looked back since!
Over the past six years Chris has also worked freelance on the production team for the BBC on over 20 major sporting events, including Wimbledon and the Snooker World Championships. This has given him a vast knowledge of how major projects and productions are run, which greatly benefits his role at Raw. In his spare time Chris likes to play Frisbee and enjoy all things outdoors. He is a keen sportsman and likes regularly playing tennis, badminton and squash.
Russell is the newest member of the Raw team and has been brought in to manage the marketing and business development with a view to expanding the company. He comes from a successful career in recruitment where he's worked as a Branch Manager and a specialist Recruitment Consultant, covering public sector, finance and hospitality both here in the UK and in Australia.
Russell's particular strengths are account management and developing new client relationships. He has a real enthusiasm for client facing work and is eager to hear from you to discuss your specific requirements. Outside of work Russell relaxes by indulging in some his favourite outdoor pursuits, which include Mountain biking, skateboarding and surfing. He's also a keen camper and always looks forward to the 2 weeks of English summer with great enthusiasm.
